The Live Oak trees pictured above were discovered at a Leadership Retreat on a ranch outside of San Antonio. Starting out as saplings over 100 years ago, they have matured into mighty oaks over 50 feet tall. Able to survive on their own, they have grown together over the years and appear to be one tree providing shelter under their shared canopy. These trees symbolize relationships that grow over time. Relationships with loved ones, whether between spouses or significant others. Relationships between parents and children, siblings, or friends. Relationships between co-workers, our neighbors, and others in our community. Although capable of surviving on our own, we are stronger and achieve more together. When the owners of Suburban Spaces moved to San Antonio in 2005, they knew no one in the city. It wasn’t long before they met someone who introduced them to her circle of friends, and they were welcomed with open arms. That was the start of their San Antonio family. The people of San Antonio are what makes our city unique. We live in the 7th largest city in the country, and yet it feels like a small town. Most folks are friendly and willing to help a neighbor or even a stranger. They join together to support each other, during Fiesta and throughout the year.
